AstraZeneca sued by pension fund over alleged Covid vaccine testing flaws

The retirement plan accused the corporation and its executives of “wrongful functions and omissions” and sought authorization to sue on behalf of all investors who dropped out as a result of the share price tag fall. 

Pascal Soriot, Astra’s main govt, advised Italian newspaper La Repubblica on Tuesday that the company’s partners at Oxford College had “said it was not moral to vaccinate old men and women till they had sufficient safety information in youthful people”.

“Other companies took this hazard, went in advance and vaccinated more mature men and women a lot quicker or earlier,” he explained. 

“But we have potent information demonstrating very potent antibody creation towards the virus in the elderly, identical to what we see in youthful men and women,” he additional.

AstraZeneca was contacted for remark pertaining to the lawsuit.
