Announcing the Cupboard choices, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said,”This will go a long way in encouraging India’s farmers whilst also transforming the agriculture sector.”
The minister spelled out that these improvements will empower farmers to promote their generate freely and not be limited to just APMC marketplaces. As per these improvements farmers will be permitted to promote their generate all about India without having any barrier.

Briefing the media about the choices of union cupboard, Facts and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said two labs the Ministry of AYUSH in Ghaziabad will also merge with it.
“The cupboard has permitted the establishment of Pharmacopoeia Fee for Indian Medication and Homoeopathy (PCIM & H) as a subordinate office beneath the Ministry of AYUSH. Two labs of Ghaziabad of the Ministry of AYUSH are also merging with it. This will ensure ideal utilisation of infrastructure, financial methods and human methods,” he said.
He said it will also ensure standardization of Indian and other medicines.
“For consequential improvements which are needed in medicines and cosmetics rules, we have to re-make a decision to make required improvements in rules also,” he added.
