The Indian Society for Spices (ISS) at the Indian Institute of Spices Exploration (IISR) will give absent Sugandha Bharathi and Sugandhasree awards through SYMSAC X 2021, an international symposium on Spices and Aromatic Crops.
PN Ravindran, renowned plant breeder, author and writer, greatest recognised for his contributions in the industry of spices analysis, enhancement and documentation has been selected for the Sugandha Bharathi award.

He is the previous director and undertaking coordinator of IISR and a distinguished scientist who has authored spices-connected publications for several international publishers.
ISS has been honouring outstanding people in the industry of spices analysis and enhancement with Sugandha Bharathi award each four many years. The awardees are selected for their life time contribution for the enhancement and enhancement of spices, aromatic crops and medicinal vegetation. The award consists of a gold medal and a quotation.

For Sugandhasree awards, ISS has selected T Joseph, a nutmeg farmer from Kottayam, recognising his improvements in spice crops for increased revenue with sustainability. Joseph, a retired staff of Simple fact, has been engaging in intercrop cultivation whilst focussing on nutmeg. ISS offers this award in each two many years to promote farmers’ improvements.
ISS will confer the awards on awardees through the four-working day international symposium at IISR prepared from February nine-12.
