LIVE: India invites Boris Johnson as Republic Day chief guest, says report

Live news updates: The Supreme Court on Wednesday deferred the hearing to December 8 the final arguments in cross appeals filed in the case of alleged mismanagement and oppression of minority investors at Tata Sons Ltd, Livemint reported.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, the government has invited UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to be Republic Day’s chief guest next year. PM Modi extended the invitation to Boris Johnson during their phone conversation on 27 November.

The National Green Tribunal has directed that there would be a total ban on the sale and use of all kinds of firecrackers during Covid-19 pandemic in the NCR and all cities/towns in the country where the ambient air quality falls under the ‘poor’ and above category.
