Market LIVE: Sensex rises 400 pts; Nifty above 16,100; IT stocks lead

Stay market updates: Amid blended global cues, the domestic benchmark indices prolonged gains into a second session on Wednesday as buyers continued to assess the effects of the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The BSE Sensex rose 200 factors to 53,648 when the NSE Nifty climbed 76 details to 16,088.

Sensex gains were led by Titan, IndusInd Financial institution, Infosys, HCL Tech, Sunlight Pharma, Tech M, Dr Reddy’s, upto 1.7 per cent higher. On the Nifty, Adani Ports, UPL and BPCL had been the additonal gainers. 

On the other hand, Asian Paints, PowerGrid, Kotak Lender, ICICI Lender, Nestle, JSW Metal, in the meantime, were the prime losers on the bourses, down up to 1 for every cent. 

In the broader markets, the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices were in the positive territory, up .9 per cent and 1 for every cent increased, respectively. 

Sectorally, Nifty Banking companies and Metals ended up the sole losers, down .3 for every cent and .5 for every cent, respectively. When, Nifty Vehicle, IT, Pharma, and Realty have been major gains, investing up to 1 for every cent up 

Among shares, Trident was buying and selling in excess of 3 per cent better as India Ratings has upgraded its very long-time period credit rating to IND AA with a constructive outlook.
