Police in Ottawa Step Up Efforts to Clear Freedom Convoy Encampment

OTTAWA—Police on Saturday armed with batons and pepper spray pushed hundreds of protesters out of a central encampment that had for months turned the four-lane road in front of Canada’s countrywide legislature into a parking good deal and block get together.

Standoffs amongst officers and demonstrators were being continuing on lesser streets nearby as of late Saturday afternoon.
